Hi, I’m Kevin Yank! I’m best known for writing <a href="http://www.sitepoint.com/store/php-mysql-novice-to-ninja/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">books</a> and <a href="http://www.lynda.com/Sublime-Text-tutorials/Up-Running-Sublime-Text-2/114325-2.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">video courses</a> on web technologies like JavaScript and PHP. Now I’m starting something new: <a href="https://screencastaweek.com/" rel="nofollow">Screencast a Week</a>, one short video a week to help you get the most out of your Mac, devices like iPhone and iPad, and whatever else I come up with! 
The gadgets and apps we use every day are full of obscure-but-awesome features. I love unearthing these, and finding amazing ways to use them together. And with Screencast a Week, I’ll show you the best stuff I’ve found.
 
Mostly, I’m a Mac nerd, so Screencast a Week will cover lots of obscure OS X tips and tricks. Mac apps in general often are full of hidden preferences, shortcuts and ways to combine them into awesome workflows, so I’ll be showing off plenty of these too. If you own an iPhone or iPad, you can also look forward to some tips for those too.
